How To Win An Emmy

Did you know that Emmy® awards are given to local producers and media organizations of all sizes and varieties? Independent producers, local broadcast stations and talented individuals take home that coveted gold statuette every year. The Heartland Chapter of NATAS recognizes excellence by presenting Emmy® awards for work produced for a regional audience – this includes transmission via the internet as well as traditional broadcast.

Select from a number of categories geared toward film/media production organizations and crew: from Writing, Music Composition, Lighting, Editing, Videography and Documentary Production to excellence in Programs, Segments and much, much more. The Heartland Regional Emmy® Awards has been recognizing excellence for thirty years across the region: Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming. In mid-December 2015, the Heartland Chapter will release its Call for Entries for work produced during 2015. Entries will be judged by peers in your category who are professionals from all over the country. The highest honor – the Emmy®  Award – is given to the best of the best at a black-tie gala in July.

The NATAS Heartland Chapter (Emmy® Awards) is one of 19 regional chapters around the country, all of which accept this type of locally-focused work. For all the details, visit or call the office at 303-722-0916.
