SERIESFEST + ROADMAP WRITERS WORKSHOP

Welcome to Roadmap Writers and SeriesFest two week immersive program exclusive for SeriesFest contest entrants and content creators! This program is designed to help strengthen your TV pilot and bring it to its fullest potential!  Each webinar will take place two times a week from 7-8:30 PM PDT and each class will take place on Tuesday from 7-9:30 PM PDT for two weeks. August 8th, 7 PM – 8:30 PM PDT (David Person, Network Executive, IFC, How to Pitch Your TV Pilot)
This interactive webinar will start with a 45 minute lecture from Mr. Person, followed by a live Q&A! Learn how to properly pitch your TV project and conquer the general meeting.

August 9th, 7 PM – 9 PM PDT (Joe Russo, Producer MX Productions- Christina Aguilera’s company)​
All writers will receive a writing prompt and each writer will write a 3-5 page scene based off that scenario. Then 5 volunteers will submit their work to Joe (and the rest of the class) and Joe will critique each writer’s work in front of the class in 10-15 minute increments. This will be followed by a live Q&A with Joe Russo!

August 10th , 7 PM – 8:30 PM PDT (Matt Sadeghian, Manager at Avalon USA, Tips on Writing a Strong Sample)​
This interactive webinar will start with a 45 minute lecture from Mr. Sadeghian, followed by a live Q&A! Learn technique and insider information on how you can write a strong sample that can get you staffed!


August 15th , 7 PM – 8:30 PM PDT (Jesse Murphy, Coordinator for Marlon Wayans’ Company at Universal, Advice on Writing Distinct Sitcoms)​
This interactive webinar will start with a 45 minute lecture from Mr. Murphy, followed by a live Q&A! Want to master the art of writing sitcoms? Then this is the webinar for you!

August 16th, 7 PM – 9 PM PDT (Jordan Davidovitz, Development Coordinator for Coquette Productions, Courteney Cox’s company)​
All writers will receive a writing prompt and each writer will write a 3-5 page scene based off that scenario. Then 5 volunteers will submit their work to Jordan (and the rest of the class) and Jordan will critique each writer’s work in front of the class in 10-15 minute increments. This will be followed by a live Q&A with Jordan Davidovitz!

August 17th , 7 PM – 8:30 PM PDT (Danny Alexander, TV agent assistant at APA, How to Navigate Through Staffing Season)​
This interactive webinar will start with a 45 minute lecture from Mr. Alexander, followed by a live Q&A! Staffing season can be a confusing time for up and coming writers. Danny will walk you through how staffing season works and give you tools to help navigate this important time and increase your chances of getting staffed!
