Sundance Film Festival Accepts Colorado Films

Once again Colorado’s filmmaking success and ability to produce award-winning filmmakers is being recognized at the Sundance Film Festival taking place in and around Park City, Utah from Jan. 19 through Jan. 29 as several Colorado films will be screened, including the world premiere of the documentary “78/52.” The three Colorado films accepted into the prestigious festival are Casting “JonBenet,” “78/52″ and “ChasingCoral.” Of the three films, two were incentivized by the Colorado Film Office through the 20 percent rebate incentive, with “Casting JonBenet” receiving $50,000 and “78/52″ receiving $41,200.  “Colorado is an epicenter of documentary filmmaking,” said Colorado film commissioner Donald Zuckerman. “We continue to generate exceptional films and award winning filmmakers – Colorado’s reputation for great filmmaking is no longer a secret.”
