This demonstration-based workshop is a beginner’s one-stop-shop for learning how to use basic studio lighting for most photography needs. Not only will we be discussing light in photography but we’ll cover: several equipment brands and ways to economically get started with your purchases, use of umbrellas and softboxes, ‘key’ and ‘fill’ lights, lighting people vs. sets and products and the use of reflectors.
Lighting can be a challenge but we’ll help you develop a solid foundation to be able to set up and light like a professional. The Instructor’s DSLR will be tethered to a laptop to provide instant illustration to approach and concept.
