Side Stories

Submissions are OPEN for Side Stories 2020!

Submissions will be accepted December 16, 2019 – January 6, 2020

Side Stories // RiNo is seeking eight Colorado artists to create original works for the 2020 event. Artists are asked to submit concepts for a particular RiNo wall, in which they describe how their unique piece will interact with an unusual RiNo canvas. Submissions will be accepted December 16, 2019 – January 6, 2020.
Side Stories 2020 will take place February 28 – March 6.
What is Side Stories?

Each winter, the streets of Denver are brought to life with Side Stories, an immersive and innovative community experience celebrating cinematic art on the urban exterior. During the large-format installation, short films from Colorado artists are projected onto a unique canvas: the neighborhood’s large, blank walls. Projection sites are selected to create a walkable art experience, drawing foot traffic through Colorado neighborhoods during quieter winter months.

In 2018 and 2019, COFTM worked closely with Mainspring, The Martin Family Foundation and RiNo Art District to plan, organize and execute Side Stories // RiNo. A smaller-scale pop-up event took place during August 2019 in the Alley of Denver’s Dairy Block.
